Welcome to the Winter 2023 newsletter of the Cardiac Diffusion SIG!

With the year winding down, this Winter issue will be brief.

1. Multi-centre DTI study

   We have received a number of Expressions of Interest (EOIs) to participate in the multi-centre cardiac DTI study, and have been engaging with sites to discuss respective needs/constraints/etc. If you wish to participate and haven’t already done so, please send us your completed EOI form* by 31 Dec 2023.

    

2. Call for Nominations

   To recap, the Call for Nominations for a new Vice-Chair of the SIG is currently open. The position is for a 3-year term, with one year each serving as Vice-Chair, Chair and Past-Chair. An election will be held online through the SCMR website during January 2024, and the results of the election will be announced during the annual SCMR conference in London in Jan 2024. Only current SCMR members will be eligible to run/vote, so please remember to renew your membership. Candidates are required to submit their candidacy on the SCMR website (https://hqscmr.wufoo.com/forms/q1m9elwg02v82za/) by 31 Dec 2023. Potential candidates may be nominated via the same website.

    

3. SIG Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting of the Cardiac Diffusion SIG will be held at CMR 2024 in London. The meeting details are: 25 Jan 2024 (Thu), 2-3pm GMT at Rutherford room. All are welcome. Look forward to seeing you in London! For those who cannot attend the meeting in person we will try to have a hybrid setup and will share a zoom link some days before the session.
