Dear cardiac diffusion SIG,

Thank you everyone for making time to join our recent annual meeting, and thank you Camila Munoz, Dan Ennis and Erica Dall'Armellina for the great presentation/slides. For those who were not able to attend, we would like to share the following highlights:

We are excited to announce that our SIG membership has more than doubled in the past 6 months to >500 members. A special welcome to all new members, glad to have you with us.
We are pleased to welcome Dr Pedro Ferreira from Royal Brompton Hospital as our new SIG Vice-Chair. Dr Ferreira will serve a three year total term on the SIG executive as Vice-Chair, Chair then Past-Chair.
There has been great enthusiasm from sites to participate in the multi-centre cardiac DTI study. The final deadline for submitting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the study has been extended to 16 Feb 2024. If interested to participate, please review the annual meeting slides for "Site Requirements" (link below), and ensure that your site has formally submitted an EOI by the deadline. Note, we will be unable to accept participation by sites who have not met this deadline.
We announce the upcoming SCMR-ISMRM 2025 co-provided workshop entitled "Cutting Edge Imaging of Cardiac Microstructure, Motion and Strain" which will be held in person in Washington DC, USA.

Dear SCMR Cardiac Diffusion SIG members, Hope you are well. We would like to share an update on the recent SIG Vice-Chair election. Early this year, the deadline for candidate applications was extended to 9 Jan 2024. We received a number of completed applications, and we thank the applicants for their initiative and enthusiasm. The applications were reviewed by the SIG co-chairs, and only one application met the stated eligibility criteria (i.e. active SCMR member and being involved in cardiac diffusion MRI). The eligible candidate was therefore identified as the incoming SIG Vice-Chair without need for an election. This decision was endorsed by SCMR, and will be announced at the SIG meeting in London. All are invited to join the SIG annual meeting at CMR 2024, London. This will be held on 25 Jan 2024 (Thu), 2-3pm (GMT) @ Rutherford room. The agenda is as follows: - Educational lecture by Dr Camila Munoz, Imperial College London - Scientific lecture by A/Prof Erica Dall'Armellina, University of Leeds - Updates on SIG multi-centre cardiac DTI study - SIG elections and announcement of new vice-chair - SIG updates: Website and communications, archive and education, 2024 meeting schedule, SCMR-ISMRM Co-Provided Workshop 2025
