Dear SCMR Cardiac Diffusion SIG members,

Welcome to the Spring newsletter of the Cardiac Diffusion SIG!

In
this issue, we would like to update you on the progress of the SIG
multi-centre cardiac DTI study and invite you to get a drink with us
during ISMRM 2024 in Singapore.

1. SIG Multi-center Cardiac DTI Study
We
have received interest from more than 20 sites to participate in the
multi-center study, and would like to update on the progress of the
study planning and setup.

Over the past months, the SIG
executive has put together a project management committee for effective
study management. The PMC have worked to refine and implement all
aspects of the study. These include refining the study design,
optimizing and testing of sequences, drafting of SOPs, initiating
sequence transfers, setting up data export SOPs and scripts, working
with beta test sites to test sequences and SOPs, organizing data
management and access, drafting ethics application and legal agreements,
and more. We have also conducted a feasibility assessment of site
participation as travelling or non-travelling volunteer sites. Due to
cost, logistics and legal considerations, we have made the difficult
decision to proceed at this time with a travelling volunteer study
comprising 5 sites in France and the UK. All other sites have been
invited to participate as non-travelling volunteer sites.

We
would like to thank everyone for your enthusiasm and support. We are
excited to see the study come together, and to work with you to build
connections and community within the field. We look forward to engaging
with you to make this project a success, and welcome any inputs and
feedback. Thank you.

2. SIG Informal Dinner & Drinks @ ISMRM
As
is tradition, we will be organizing an informal dinner and drinks
session this ISMRM in Singapore. All are welcome. Please feel free to
share this invitation to friends and colleagues attending ISMRM this
year!

7 May 2024 (Tue), 6pm onwards
Queen's Pub
9 Raffles Blvd Millenia Walk #01-20 Singapore 039596
https://www.thequeenspub.com.sg/

Looking forward to seeing you in Singapore!

Kévin, Pedro and Irvin
